History

SRJ is a firm with a rich history dating back to 1983 when Jim Skaines established the practise that has now become SRJ, an Ascenta business.

Beginning from a small office in Lawnton, the firm has grown to a staff of 60 accountants, business & financial advisors and administrators located in offices in Brisbane, Strathpine and Caboolture.

Steven Jones and Shaun Reeves worked with Jim for a number of years. In June 2000 they purchased the firm and asked Jim to remain in a consulting role. Jim retired in 2003.

Jason Croston joined Shaun and Steven as partner in 2006 and leads the SRJ Audit division.

CATS began operation in the 1980s and has provided over 25 years of professional and friendly service to the Caboolture business population.

Now united with SRJ Accountants, our ten staff service approximately 3000 clients, providing them with services ranging from accounting and taxation services to business advice and development. Our dedicated and friendly team is always looking to achieve the best outcomes for clients by taking the time to understand their unique situation.

This understanding assists our team in obtaining the best possible results for our clients in a timely manner.

Our office is also able to offer additional services to clients, such as financial planning, estate planning and insurances, through our Financial Planning office. This gives our clients the ability to access a full business package through our office.

With its origins tracing back to the 1960's, CB Financial has a long history of providing corporate and personal financial services in Queensland and, more recently, other states. Formerly known as Corporate Benefits the company changed its name to CB Financial in 2004 following a significant change of ownership and introduction of a broader business initiative.

Influencing this change has been the introduction of SRJ Accountants & Business Advisors and Lance Milham as significant shareholders. They join David Gunthorpe, a founder of the company who continues to focus on financial advice and relationship management with core clients and strategic alliances.
